Corruption and Rent-Seeking Appointments in Behbahan Medical Sciences Faculty; Patients' Lives at Risk!

Financial and managerial crisis in Behbahan Medical Sciences Faculty has endangered patients' lives. Rent-seeking appointments and mismanagement are at the heart of this crisis.

A new report on the critical situation of Behbahan Medical Sciences Faculty indicates the emergence of financial corruption and rent-seeking appointments in this institution, especially in sensitive medical positions, which have put patients' lives at risk.

Management Crisis and Incorrect Appointments

This crisis is the result of the formation of a network of unqualified individuals, at the head of which are Mohammad Sabaghian, the dean of the faculty, and Kamal Khobani, the deputy for development, resource management, and planning. These individuals, with the support of Mohammad Tala Mazlumi, the representative of the people of Behbahan in the parliament, have engaged in rent-seeking appointments that experts believe could have irreparable consequences for public health.

One of the concerning cases is the appointment of Moslem Komai Asl as the supervisor of affiliated medical centers and pharmacies; a person who only holds a welding diploma. These appointments not only undermine the credibility and efficiency of these centers but also put patients' lives in jeopardy.

This situation has raised serious concerns among citizens and highlights the necessity for a review of management policies and appointments in this faculty.
