Corruption in Petrochemicals; The Gang That Was Fired but Promoted

A corruption network in the petrochemical industry is expanding by extorting and blackmailing contractors. Adel Karim Nasb and Milad Rabati, two key figures in this gang, continue their activities after being fired.

Within the petrochemical industry, a chain of corruption is clearly visible. Two well-known figures, Adel Karim Nasb and Milad Rabati, in 2023, engaged in organized actions to extort contractors at the Masjed Soleyman petrochemical complex.

Blackmail and Pressure on Contractors

These actions included pressuring various contractors, including a restaurant contractor, and the mediation of an individual named Mahmoud Davoodi to propose a bribe of 20 billion tomans. After the contractor refused to pay this bribe, the blackmail network escalated to organized pressure and harassment, ultimately removing the contractor from the collaboration cycle.

At that time, Milad Rabati was in charge of support and Adel Karim Nasb was in charge of procurement at the Masjed Soleyman petrochemical complex. However, after the violations were exposed, these two were fired due to corruption. Nevertheless, their activities not only did not stop, but Karim Nasb was transferred to the Amir Kabir petrochemical complex and Rabati headed to Assaluyeh.

Repetition of the Corruption Pattern

At the Amir Kabir petrochemical complex, Karim Nasb repeats the same pattern of corruption and pressure on contractors, while Rabati and Javad Jalili continue to implement these methods in Assaluyeh. This three-person gang has reproduced the same pattern of violations in several other industrial complexes after Masjed Soleyman.

Now the question arises: How have these individuals, with a clear history of violations and firings, been able to work in other companies without hindrance? What individual or entity within the security and political apparatus of Khuzestan and Bushehr provinces has supported these corrupt figures and facilitated their continued activities?
