New statistics show that the population of youth aged 15 to 34 in the country is in free fall. From over 28 million in 2017, this figure is expected to drop to around 24 million by 2025. This decline is not only concerning but also indicative of the gradual decrease in the demographic weight of youth in Iran's population structure.
Alarm for the Future
Given the current trend, one must ask what measures are being taken to prevent this demographic crisis? Have government plans been able to meet the needs of the youth? This population decline could have serious social and economic repercussions that must be taken seriously.
Looking at the statistics, it is clear that young people, as the builders of the future, are losing their position. Is it not time to address this issue with greater seriousness?
