Family Hiring Practices at the National Iranian Drilling Company; A Clear Mismanagement

Recent reports indicate that nepotism and patronage hiring at the National Iranian Drilling Company have become a serious issue.

Recently, the voices of protest from employees of the National Iranian Drilling Company have been heard. These employees have strongly criticized the management style and the process of hiring in contractor services.

Stable Management, Unstable Changes

Emad Jalili, the current head of contractor services, has been working in this organization for about 16 years and despite numerous management changes, he still remains in this position. The question arises as to how, despite management changes, no action has been taken to relocate him.

Amid these criticisms, suspicions regarding the hiring of family members of some managers are also evident. In particular, the hiring of Jalili's brothers and wife, as well as the wife of Ms. Ghotbi, a colleague in this unit, has drawn attention.

Conflict Between Claims and Reality

Reports indicate that in repeated inquiries for hiring, new employees are always met with the response "we have no hiring capacity." This is while individuals backed by family connections with managers are placed on the hiring list.

Morteza Fooladi, the CEO of the National Iranian Drilling Company, has emphasized meritocracy in recent weeks, but the existing realities in this company indicate his complicity with the network of patronage hiring.

This situation has not only negatively impacted the company's efficiency but has also severely undermined employee trust.
