In the latest developments, Marun Petrochemical, one of the pillars of the country's petrochemical industry, is facing serious allegations of mismanagement and financial corruption. This company, which is a subsidiary of the Social Security Organization of Armed Forces (Sata), has fallen into a cycle of corruption worth hundreds of millions of dollars due to the mismanagement of Amin Amraei and the collaboration of General Sadeghi.
Revelatory Documents and Huge Debts
According to the published documents, Amin Amraei, along with an organized network, has created a large cycle of corruption over the past three years. While the CEO of Sata reported to the Ministry of Defense about the growth of Marun Petrochemical's capital, the realities indicate an outstanding foreign debt of $639 million and widespread financial violations. Additionally, payments equivalent to 500 billion tomans from Amraei to Sadeghi have raised many questions.
Individuals such as General Mostafa Najjar, retired Brigadier General Farshad Najafi-Pour, and Ahad Amiri have been identified as the main links in this corruption network. Interestingly, Ahad Amiri has been mentioned as the main coordinator of these activities.
Financially, the situation at Marun Petrochemical has deteriorated severely; the company's dollar profit has decreased from $523 million to less than $130 million. Furthermore, the net profit of this company has plummeted from 45% to below 20%, and current debts have reached about 100 times. This situation indicates the purchase of suspicious projects and heavy debts to various individuals.
