In a controversial development, Javad Najmaldin has been appointed as the CEO of Iranol Oil Company, but this appointment has quickly faced criticism from legal experts and scholars. They believe that this appointment decree contradicts the legal provisions regarding the employment of retirees.
Violations of Laws
The new directive from the Council of Ministers regarding the qualification of CEOs and board members of companies affiliated with the funds clearly emphasizes the impossibility of appointing retirees. According to clause 6 of Article 6 approved on October 24, 2025, if the appointed individual is a retiree and receives retirement benefits, their appointment is considered illegal.
This clause explicitly states that "returning to work and reappointing such an individual is considered a clear violation," and this issue could diminish Najmaldin's career prospects at Iranol.
Given the current circumstances, it seems that in the coming days, the newly appointed CEO of Iranol will be forced to resign or be dismissed. This situation has not only affected Najmaldin but has also impacted the public image of Iranol, raising serious questions about transparency and legality within the company.
