Three months after the appointment of Hamed Izadi, whose real name is Hoshamatollah Ilka, as the head of security at the Ministry of Oil, and his brother Keyvan Ilka as a board member of the Persian Gulf Holding, evidence of a corrupt family network in the oil industry is becoming apparent.
Suspicious Elections and Appointments
Keyvan Ilka, who previously worked at Navak and Petro Refinery Siraf, is now employed as a representative of the National Petrochemical Company at the Persian Gulf Holding. This appointment clearly indicates conflicts of interest and family networking within the Ministry of Oil.
Ilka's simultaneous presence on several boards and his previous connections with contracting companies have drawn significant criticism and could be a clear example of a conflict of interest. Critics explicitly consider this appointment to be contrary to existing laws, particularly Article 241 of the Commercial Code.
Security or Protection from Corruption?
Interestingly, Hamed Ilka, as the head of security at the Ministry of Oil, is actually responsible for overseeing violations; however, his brother's economic activities simultaneously strengthen the suspicion of corrupt influence. There is also documentation linking this family network with contractors and oil tenders.
According to informed sources, Ilka threatens petrochemical managers by holding corruption files, forcing them to cooperate in his activities. This situation clearly illustrates the depth of corruption and collusion within the country's oil structure.
Among the key figures in this network are well-known names such as Majid Ali Nazi and Mohammad Bahmei, famous oil brokers, who play a role in this larger game.
