Recently, images of the excessive sale of psychiatric medications in Abadan have been published, showing that these drugs are available in large quantities for transfer to Iraq. This is while officials from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education report a severe shortage of medications in Iran.
Clear Violation at Taleghani Hospital Pharmacy
In a video recently released, the pharmacy manager, Dr. Mohammadjani, at Taleghani Hospital in Abadan, provides a citizen intending to purchase psychiatric medications for transfer to Iraq with a purchase confirmation without requiring a prescription, issuing sales invoices for more than 20 packages for each medication. This behavior not only raises many questions in the minds of citizens but also indicates a clear violation in the drug distribution system in the country.
Citizens of Abadan, in response to this situation, believe that the Taleghani Hospital pharmacy not only declares psychiatric medications unavailable for themselves but also sometimes arbitrarily adds various vitamins and effervescent tablets to patients' medication lists to increase costs.
This situation is not only detrimental to the health of the people but has also become a social issue that requires immediate investigation and action from officials.
