Since this afternoon, news has emerged regarding the increased level of access for Iranian users to international internet. This is a promise that has not yet been confirmed, and uncertainty looms over it.
The current and future state of the internet in Iran
According to unofficial information, the system of internet restrictions has been divided into eight levels, and currently, the country is at level five. It is said that the Supreme National Security Council has promised that by noon on February 26, this situation will reach level two; a level closer to normal internet access. However, foreign messaging apps, including WhatsApp, will still face restrictions.
But the question that many users have in mind is whether this promise will be realized or if it will end up being just another disappointing news like in the past?
