The issue of 70 contract workers of Khuzestan Telecommunications being left in limbo continues. These workers, who were active in the cities of Ahvaz, Masjed Soleyman, Baghmalek, Gotvand, Hendijan, Ramshir, and Mahshahr, were dismissed from work without a clear reason from the beginning of Mehr 1400.
The strange point is the resistance of the provincial telecommunications managers against the rulings issued by the labor office and the recommendations of some provincial officials for the reinstatement of the dismissed workers, which has been done without any explanation.
Behind Closed Doors at the Governor's Office
Despite holding multiple meetings at the governor's office and the presence of telecommunications representatives, these workers have still not returned to work. The gatherings have repeatedly received media attention, but despite telecommunications' promises, no practical action has been taken to reinstate these workers after 5 years.
In one of the most important of these meetings, held with the presence of the representative of Iran Telecommunications, it was decided that these workers would return to their jobs, but telecommunications once again refused to implement this decision after initially accepting it.
Labor Office Ruling; Ineffective in Practice
The labor office has also ruled for the reinstatement of these workers, but telecommunications still refuses to implement this ruling. It seems this issue has turned into a deadlock in the administrative system and requires more serious attention from the authorities.
