Revelation of Mossad Contact with Oil Minister
Javad Owji, former Oil Minister, revealed a phone call regarding the attacks on the country's gas infrastructure in February 2024, which he claimed was made by someone attributed to Mossad. Owji stated that before the explosions occurred, he was informed of the attack on the national gas lines through this phone call.
Details of the Call and Gas Line Explosions
Owji explained that the country has 10 main and thick 56-inch pipelines for transferring gas from the south to the center and north of the country. He said that one night, around 1 AM, someone called him and said: "Tonight we want to have fireworks." Then asked him: "What is three plus five?" and Owji replied: "Eight." The caller immediately announced: "We hit the eighth line."
The former Oil Minister continued that about five minutes later, dispatch officials from the National Gas Company contacted him and reported that the eighth national gas line had exploded.
Further Attacks and Countermeasures
Owji added that while he was preparing to be present at the dispatch center, another phone call was made and the caller asked: "What is four plus five?" and after the answer "9", announced that the ninth line had also been targeted.
He also said that subsequently, the third line was also attacked. However, by transferring industries and power plants to liquid fuel and looping the gas lines, within two to three days the network stabilized, and despite these attacks, there was no widespread disruption in gas supply to the people.
