Reza Sepahvand, spokesperson for the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, pointed out the continued activity of Mohammad Shariatmadari at the helm of the Persian Gulf Holding, emphasizing that the law must be applied to all managers without exception. He stated that the management status of this holding must also be determined in accordance with existing laws.
Necessity of Adhering to Legal Frameworks
In an interview with "Healthy Economy," Sepahvand stated that no individual should remain in a managerial position outside the legal framework, and all managers are subject to the same regulations. Referring to the law on employing retired managers, he emphasized that any manager intending to continue activity after retirement must obtain the necessary legal permits.
Need for Expedited Resolution of Management Status
He added that the necessary permission for Mohammad Shariatmadari's continued activity in the Persian Gulf Holding has not yet been obtained from the competent authorities, and therefore, this issue must be resolved as soon as possible within the legal framework. According to the spokesperson for the Energy Commission, both the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Ministry of Oil emphasize the precise implementation of the law and expect this issue to be resolved in the shortest possible time.
