These violations include managerial appointments, administrative hires, and the distribution of pollution credits, which exploit family and political rent.
Family Rent-Seeking and Suspicious Hires
According to evidence, members of the Moghimi family have benefited from his job and managerial positions. This issue has become a problem due to the high power of the Moghimi clan in Gachsaran and the dependency of Tajgardoon's voting base on the support of this clan. Information indicates that Moghimi's brothers are employed in various departments, including water, electricity, and agricultural jihad, and some of them have entered the petrochemical industry without exams.
Ambiguities in the Spending of Pollution Credits
Criticism of pollution credits has also intensified. While hundreds of billions of tomans have been deposited into the Gachsaran governorate to be spent on the development of villages without village councils, no effective construction projects have been observed in these areas. Some sources claim that part of these credits has been granted to specific individuals in the form of loans, and the names of the target villages do not appear on the list of recipients.
Additionally, a building under construction in Gachsaran is attributed to Tajgardoon, which has been criticized for construction violations, including exceeding the allowable number of floors and encroaching on public pathways. This project has been introduced as a tool to increase the value of the building and justify the high costs of bypass road construction.
This situation reflects how public interests and the tranquility of the city are sacrificed for personal gains and political rents. The tensions created in the public space and disputes related to the collection of street vendors are just part of the consequences of this corruption.
