Crisis in National Iranian Drilling Company; Fouladi Continues Mekvandi's Path of Corruption

In recent years, the National Iranian Drilling Company has faced numerous challenges in operational and managerial areas. This situation has led some sources and employees of the organization to criticize the performance of recent managers and call for a review of the company's management process.

The Destructive Legacy of Mehran Mekvandi

According to received information, critics believe that the appointment of Mehran Mekvandi as the manager of the National Iranian Drilling Company not only did not help improve the conditions of the organization but also exacerbated existing problems. They claim that during his management, issues such as relationship-based hiring, allocation of some company facilities to the Haftkel county, assignment of some organizational houses to relatives and close individuals, manipulation of statistics related to reducing rig waiting times, and financial misconduct have negatively impacted the company's situation.

Management Change and Appointment of Morteza Fouladi

According to these sources, the company's board of directors, after about 12 months, dismissed Mekvandi and appointed Morteza Fouladi as the new CEO. This decision was made in hopes of improving conditions, but according to critics, it failed to resolve the company's issues.

Criticism of Morteza Fouladi's Performance

Critics have also criticized Fouladi's performance, claiming that arbitrary appointments, allocation of some organizational houses to close individuals and supported contract employees, use of company budget for managerial purposes, and weakness in managing operational and ancillary services sections have led to the company still facing serious problems.

Employees' Request for Ministry of Oil Intervention

These sources believe that the continuation of the current trend will face the National Iranian Drilling Company with more challenges and are calling for the Ministry of Oil to intervene to examine the situation of this organization. In this regard, a number of employees have requested Mohsen Paknejad, the Minister of Oil, to review the performance of the company's managers and make appropriate managerial decisions to pave the way for structural reform and the return of stability and efficiency to the National Iranian Drilling Company.
