Ugly Insults by Two Managers in Abadan and Khorramshahr to the People; Vagrants and the Hungry!

In recent days, offensive remarks by two officials in Abadan and Khorramshahr have severely inflamed the public atmosphere in these cities. These remarks, which have been met with strong reactions from citizens and workers, have exacerbated the longstanding problems of this region.

The incident began when the financial manager of the Abadan refinery, in response to local workers' requests for wartime bonuses, called them 'a bunch of vagrants'. These words have deeply offended not only the working community but also the general public of this city. Workers in this region, who have been employed under the harshest conditions for years, now face such remarks that not only disregard their rights but also question their human dignity.

Meanwhile, another claim was made that the CEO of the Arvand Free Zone Organization called the people of Abadan and Khorramshahr 'hungry and idle'. These remarks were made at a time when the people of these areas are grappling with endless economic problems, unemployment, and lack of facilities.

Deep Divide Between People and Managers

The publication of such remarks indicates a deep divide that exists between some managers and the community. People who have paid the price of war and deprivation for years are now facing mismanagement and inefficiency from some officials. Abadan and Khorramshahr, two iconic cities in Iran's contemporary history, have become symbols of resistance and perseverance. The people living in these cities deserve respect and justice, not insult and humiliation.

These events occur at a time when the people of this region are in dire need of attention and care from officials. Such behaviors will only increase dissatisfaction and the gap between the people and the officials. Isn't it time for more responsible managers to be chosen for these areas?
