Power Crisis in Arvand Petrochemical; Production at Risk!

Yadollah Mosaddeghi Fard, CEO of Arvand Petrochemical, announced at the annual meeting that the minimum power consumption of Arvand Petrochemical is 65 megawatts. He emphasized that if the power allocation to the industries in Mahshahr is reduced, production in the chlorine chain will not be possible with an allocation of less than 65 megawatts.

Power Situation in Mahshahr

The CEO of Arvand Petrochemical explained that out of the total 350 megawatts of power input to Mahshahr, only 50 megawatts are consumed in Fajr Energy. He added that due to the inability to connect directly to the national power grid, Arvand Petrochemical and other petrochemicals are forced to receive power from Fajr Energy.

Electricity Transmission Costs

This official announced that the cost of electricity transmission rights is to be determined and communicated by Fajr Energy. This decision could have a direct impact on the production costs and efficiency of petrochemicals.
