Over the past three days, five citizens of this area have lost their lives in road accidents; incidents that critics say are the result of deteriorating infrastructure and inefficient management.

However, it seems that managerial and political disputes between the governorate and the Maku Free Zone Organization have hindered effective action to resolve this crisis.
