The executor of the fuel quota transfer to bank card plan announced that this plan will be operational for passenger cars by the end of fall. Hadi Mahzarnia stated that the main goal of this plan is to clarify the amount of fuel consumption of vehicles and their owners. He said that accurate information on fuel consumption patterns allows for better planning for consumption management and the implementation of non-price policies to control consumption. This will help manage fuel imbalances with minimal pressure on the public.
Implementation of the Plan for Gasoline Vehicles
Mahzarnia, noting that this plan will first be implemented for gasoline vehicles, added that its implementation for diesel vehicles is also planned. Due to the different ownership and operation structure of heavy vehicles, implementing this plan in the diesel sector has more technical and operational complexities. Therefore, after stabilizing the implementation of the plan in the gasoline sector, this plan will also be pursued for the diesel fleet.
Efforts for Nationwide Implementation by the End of Fall
The executor of the fuel quota transfer to bank card plan stated that the law mandates the full implementation of the plan by the end of the year, and despite the country's special conditions, efforts are being made to achieve nationwide implementation of this plan for passenger cars by mid or late fall.
