Introduction of 26 Non-Local Personnel with Unrelated Degrees for Employment at Arvand Petrochemical

Following the introduction of 26 non-local personnel with unrelated degrees for employment at Arvand Petrochemical, concerns have risen about the lack of utilization of local forces and transparency in the hiring process. This action comes at a time when many local youths in Khuzestan with relevant degrees are still barred from entering the region's petrochemical companies.

Introduction of 26 Non-Local Personnel with Unrelated Degrees for Employment at Arvand Petrochemical

According to information received by Feydus News, a list of 26 individuals was introduced last week for the hiring process at Arvand Petrochemical, one of the subsidiaries of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Holding in Bandar Mahshahr.

Reports indicate that the individuals introduced are between 27 and 52 years old, and a significant portion of them are non-local. Their educational qualifications do not directly relate to the desired job positions. Details about the organizational unit, job titles, selection criteria, and the entity introducing these individuals have not yet been released.

This issue arises while hundreds of job-seeking youths from Bandar Mahshahr and other areas of Khuzestan province, despite having relevant university degrees and months of follow-up, still cannot enter the region's petrochemical companies. The limited employment opportunities for local forces have always been one of the most important social and economic demands of the people in areas surrounding the oil and petrochemical industries.

Employment Strategy

Informed sources have emphasized that the introduced individuals, after joining Arvand Petrochemical and going through administrative and security checks, will initially be employed in the lake project and some projects outside the main company area. According to these sources, initial activity in external projects makes the presence of non-local forces less visible and less subject to protest by local forces, and these individuals will be introduced to the main company structure after gaining work experience.

It has also been stated that Yadollah Mosadeghifard, the current CEO of Arvand Petrochemical, previously used a similar mechanism during his tenure at Gachsaran Petrochemical for recruiting introduced personnel by some institutions and parliament representatives.

Feydus is ready to publish explanations from the management of Arvand Petrochemical, the Persian Gulf Holding, and other related persons or entities without alteration. It is expected that company officials will clarify the validity of the 26-person list, hiring criteria, the extent of local force utilization, and the recruitment method of the introduced individuals.
