Revealing the Massive Damage of the Attack on Lavan Refinery After Months

Months after the attack on Lavan Refinery on the last day of the 40-day war, new reports indicate that the level of damage inflicted on Lavan Refinery exceeds the initial claims by officials.

While the ceasefire had just been signed, Lavan Refinery faced a sudden attack that resulted in the reduction of half of its production capacity. Karamat Veis-Karami, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, reported damage affecting half of the refinery's gasoline production capacity.

Reduced Production and Challenges Ahead

According to Veis-Karami, Lavan Refinery, which previously produced about 3 million liters of gasoline daily, is now operating at only 50% capacity. This reduction in production could lead to serious challenges in gasoline supply in the country, but Veis-Karami emphasizes that serious efforts are underway to compensate for this reduction.

Increased Production in Other Refineries

To cope with this situation, the feedstock of other refineries in the country has been increased to utilize maximum production capacity. However, many questions arise about the security of the country's refining infrastructure and the possibility of such attacks recurring.
