Documents and information obtained by Feydus News reveal a plan at Abadan Oil Refining Company to transfer ownership of some corporate houses to their current residents. Critics argue that the plan contradicts the company's internal regulations, the philosophy of establishing corporate housing, and the rules for selling government properties. If implemented, it could lead to the loss of public assets and deprive other employees of the right to use corporate housing.

According to received information, some managers at Abadan Oil Refining Company intend to propose this transfer to the board of directors based on the "Government Asset Productivity" regulations. However, informed sources emphasize that the matter is still under internal review and decision-making, and no final resolution for the transfer has been issued.

How Are Houses in Use Considered "Surplus"? 

One of the most important questions about this plan is how the operational corporate houses align with the definition of surplus assets.

In the productivity process, government agency assets can only be transferred when their surplus status is officially verified, registered in the relevant systems, and the necessary legal permits are issued. However, according to existing documents and reports, the houses in question are still used for housing company employees, and no document has been presented regarding their official surplus status.

They assert that if there is an ongoing need for these units by employees, selling them would effectively mean removing part of the company's welfare and corporate facilities.

Based on these documents, using corporate housing does not create ownership rights for the resident. Critics argue that converting temporary residence to permanent ownership violates the philosophy of these regulations and eliminates the possibility for new employees or those genuinely without housing to benefit.

Claimants Owning Multiple Properties; "Purchase of Housing" Not Observed

 Another part of the objections relates to the financial and property status of some potential applicants. Informed sources claim that some individuals seeking to purchase corporate houses already own one or more residential properties in Abadan or other cities.

 In the attached regulations, obligations are outlined for employees who have used loans or facilities for purchasing or building housing to vacate corporate housing. Additionally, in the section related to "purchase of housing," it is emphasized that employees cannot use corporate housing indefinitely after purchasing or securing personal housing.

However, it is claimed that some units have remained in the possession of individuals beyond the stipulated period, and in some cases, people not covered by the company's employment reside in them. These claims have not yet been independently confirmed or denied by Abadan Oil Refining Company.

Request for Immediate Halt to Decision-Making

Critics have called on the board of directors of Abadan Oil Refining Company and supervisory bodies to halt any decisions regarding the sale of houses until the surplus status of the properties is verified, the residents' conditions are reviewed, personal ownership statuses are determined, and the pricing method is clarified.

They warn that a hasty transfer of corporate houses, in addition to creating privileges for a specific group, could inflict irreparable damage to the company's assets.
