Six-Month Delay in Payment of Zahedan Municipality Workers' Salaries

Payment of Workers' Salaries at Zahedan Municipality in Sistan and Baluchestan Province has been delayed for about six months. This situation has caused concern and livelihood problems for the workers.

Workers' Concerns About Increasing Demands

Labor sources at Zahedan Municipality told ILNA reporters that the company's municipal workers in Zahedan are owed about six months of wages and benefits for the current year. These workers are worried about the increase in their wage demands in the coming months and stated that livelihood problems and non-payment of demands have created many issues for their families.

Criticism of Delayed Salary Payments

Workers criticize the delayed salary payments, saying: In the difficult inflationary conditions of this deprived area, we are responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the city, yet our salaries are paid late. Is this fair? Why are the officials not accountable? In conclusion, the workers requested the mayor and city council to consider securing financial resources to pay the salaries of their company's workers.
