Management Crisis at Jahan Ara Arvand Steel; Dismissal of Locals, Hiring Relatives

Management changes at Jahan Ara Arvand Steel, located in Khorramshahr, have become a controversial topic. These changes, which include the replacement of managers and contractors as well as the treatment of local workers, have led to a wave of dissatisfaction within this industrial complex. Information obtained from within the company indicates legal disputes among some managers and dissatisfaction with human resource changes. These issues have increased the need for transparency from the company's management and higher authorities.

Jahan Ara Arvand Steel, operating in the Khorramshahr industrial town, employs over a thousand workers and is recognized as one of the region's important industrial complexes. Since August last year, with the establishment of a new management team, extensive changes in the company's management structure and human resources have begun.

Management Changes and New Appointments

In the new management team, Rasoul Sadeghi was appointed as CEO, Kianoush Kavi-Nejad as Deputy of Operations, and Nader Asgari-Tabar as Head of the CEO's Office. Information provided to Feydus indicates that Kavi-Nejad holds a bachelor's degree in sports science, raising questions about the relevance of his education to the role of Deputy of Operations. It is also said that Asgari-Tabar, with an unrelated bachelor's degree and limited work experience, has taken on the responsibilities of Deputy of Engineering and Development in addition to his role as Head of the CEO's Office.

Reports have also emerged about the presence of several advisors accompanying the new team and their possible familial or close relations with the CEO, which requires an official response from the company's management.

Criticism of the Dismissal of Local Workers and Contractors

One of the main points of protest is the treatment of the company's local managers and workers. Informed sources claim that after the management change, several young local managers were dismissed from the company, and Seyed Ali Ebrahimi, the then-security director, played a role in some of these changes.

Additionally, according to received information, a case involving allegations such as defamation and insult against Ebrahimi, Kavi-Nejad, and several others has been filed in the Khorramshahr judiciary. Regarding the precise status of this case and the possible issuance of arrest warrants and the outcome of the charges, the responsible authorities or the named individuals need to provide official explanations. Until a final verdict is issued, the allegations made do not imply proof of guilt.

Following these developments, it is said that with the intervention of the security officials of the Executive Headquarters of Imam's Decree, Ebrahimi was removed from his security responsibilities. However, he continues to operate within the company's structure as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. Critics claim that his influence still affects some decisions related to human resources; a claim that requires a response from the management of Jahan Ara Arvand Steel.

The scope of criticism is not limited to managers and employees. According to received information, several local contractors have also been excluded from cooperation with the company, while non-local contractors have been introduced into the complex. Critics say there is ambiguity about the professional background and selection process of some of these contractors.

Some employees also claim that the one-year contracts of several workers were not renewed after their expiration, and instead, individuals from outside the province, particularly from Isfahan, have been recruited into the complex. Claims have also been made about personal or familial relationships between some of the new recruits and managers, which require the provision of documents and responses from the relevant parties to be published as definitive facts.

The continuation of such an atmosphere in a company with over a thousand employees can, in addition to increasing internal dissatisfaction, intensify social sensitivities in Khorramshahr. Especially in a region where the employment of local workers has always been one of the most important public demands.

In such circumstances, it is expected that the management of Jahan Ara Arvand Steel and the company's higher authorities will clarify the criteria for appointments, the status of dismissed workers, the selection process of contractors, and the extent of non-local recruitment. Additionally, the intervention of local responsible bodies, including the governorate, the county security council, and the regional representative in parliament, to examine these matters can help clarify the dimensions of the issue and protect the rights of local human resources.
